get the 3GS and become a TD. Total Douche.
So I'm finding it maddening that I can't reliably pair my LG Incite with the d-bag. It appears as though no Windows Mobile smartphones are on BMW's very short approved phone list. So I might be in the market for a new phone, and I don't want to jump from one incompatible phone to another. The 3GS is on there, so I'm deciding if I want to (a) become a total douche with a d-bag mobile and a d-bag phone, and (b) do I really want to shell out $15/month more for the necessary data plan.
What to do, what to do......![]()

seriously, great phone. too bad AT&T coverage sucks in my home area.

I've been so anti-Apple and their brainwashing that I feel like I might as well put on a dress and start rooting for the Yankees.
Okay, that's crazy talk. I'd never root for the Yankees.

either way you get brainwashed. whether is apple, microsoft or the google.

Well what sucks is the two things I like having Windows Mobile for is tethering at no extra cost for my Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee PC and watching Slingbox on it. Tethering is officially disabled (although from what I've read it's pretty easy to enable in 3.0) on the iPhone and the Slingbox app only works over WiFi (no 3G). The Windows Mobile app works over both. Now I suppose I could just throw the Incite into my laptop bag and swap out the sim card whenever I want to tether (or Sling) but that seems kinda silly.
But I have to admit, I've never heard anyone who's got an iPhone say they hate it, and now with the App Store having a shitload of apps, it is a little tempting.

The app store has a shitload of apps because most of them are shit.![]()

I'll never give in. Never.
The first apple product I bought in my life was a few months ago when I got the G37. It had such great iPod integration, I had to get one for the car. I use the Zune for everything else.
I really dislike the company, but my Apple stock position is up 91% since I bought it last Fall, so keep drinkin the Kool Aid.![]()
the main reason i stayed away from the iphone was because of the lack of physical keyboard. with the 3gs they at least give you a landscape keyboard but it is still a pain in the ass to text on if you are trying to multi task and not completely paying attention to it. plus the no mms until late September is bullshit. got a Bold and have no regrets (pandora and google voice ftw)
The Sims are universal. When I got my 3GS I unlocked my 1st gen and gave it to my wife to use on tmobile.
The 3GS will make you very happy. And yes...tethering is SUPER easy and quick to enableI have it, took 2 minutes....question is, will Apple disable it in the next OS update.
And when did you follow the d-bag lemmings and get a bimmer? what did you get?
Sounds like you like your phone, maybe you should get a different car to pair it to![]()
