I've driven Darrens and my buddies racing dynamics 3 series. Fun car, handles nicely. But I'm not sure if I can really compare the 2 :dunno:
My G handles great, the new interior is light years better than it was, and it's straight line quick. But it's still a heavy pig. Everyone and their mama has a 3 down here, so that turns me off about them.
Price vs Price the G is a better value and is as fun if not more fun than a 3. But thats not really taking anything away from the BMW.

seriously, this would definately tear me since both cars are so similiar. My next car may very well be the G35C, but man the 330 is such a fun car
one thing to say the opposite to robb, everyone and their mama has a G35C out here

my vote goes to the G...tough choice but pound for pound the G is a better value

I drove the 530i for about a yr and the G35C for a few months. I gotta say, Bimmers are a lot more fun to drive. For the money, I think G is a better deal (than the 3). Did they end up getting the seatbelt placement fixed on the G?

I've read other people complain about that in the G - are you guys freaking retards or soemthing? I've never had an issue. :sqnteek: :dunno:

you guys aren't helping :(
i wouldn't be modding the hell out of either... i'll lower and put navi/dvd and a nice system in it but that's probably as far as i'll go.. possibly rims
so i don't know if that will change any of your thoughts...
Wraab Wall
June 01, 2005, @ 06:28 PM
I prefer the G. :dunno: But with the old interior of the G, I'd almost lean to the 3. I'm no help
Whatever you get, don't get silver.

if your putting a system in, the 3 series is much easier to mod in that sense. the G is a bitch to work with if your adding aftermarket equipment sound crap

I'd get the G. :dunno: The non-M 3 series is blah to me.

I have to pull the seat all the way up for my feet to reach the pedals. The seatbelt ends up like five ft behind my head. I have to reach back to grab it, and my hand gets wedged between the headrest and the car.

if you are gonna mod it, go w/ the G, much cheaper to mod
but if you are gonna do stereo shit, keep in mind the G has like zero trunk space

so after a little thought... i am leaning more towards the G. with the new 3 series coming out, the E46 will look dated (give it half a year).
