At half, most Red fans were just dying and the Italians were gitty as lil' school girls...

Then, when Gerrard scored and he pumped up the team, you knew something they were going to make a run at it...

hehe... Dudek's tribute to Grobbelaar was fantastico...

Holds so much meaning for us Reds fans...

My friend spent a year in London and I told him to go to a Reds game...

I agree with you. If they can include all the "minnows" in the competition, I think 1 extra spot for the defending Champs won't hurt.

Hoping that one day, Ajax will return to the final...

Leeds?!? They had such a good young team (Kewell, Alan Smith, Mark Viduka) then the owners went broke.

My team, Newcastle, seems to have all of their players quitting/transfered because they can't get along with Souness. Maybe the coach is the problem :dunno:

Leeds is a sad story indeed... it used to be a great club.

Newcastle is in shambles at this point... then need to get things together. Especially when Shearer has dedicated himself to one more season.

And there's so much history behind this run...

First off, Liverpool had the Heysel incident which banned English clubs for four year from european competition... which many english clubs consider the dark times for english football and blame us for...

Second, we beat TWO league champs, Chelsea and Juve, to get to the title game.

Third, it's been over 20 years since our last CL title... that's why some of those older fans were crying...

I was at the Fox and Hounds in Studio City. The place had at least 100 people easy, many scousers and Milan fans were there, along with sore loser celery fans. The reds fans were very quiet in the first half, as the Milan fans were chanting. However, after the second half, once the score was leveled, you heard "You aren't chanting now" roaring in the pub. If you watch Fox Football Friday, both Nick and Steven were at the pub. We had to make sure Nick wasn't going to kill himself during the half. What a change of emotions he went through at the end of the penalties.

I will never forget that game.

Beside South American leagues and cups, not much. They are ending soon as well. There will be some qualifiers but that's about it. You will get to see England vs. USA friendly this saturday, at noon PST. It's a second team England side, but I still think they will be able to beat a full strenght US team, since the Brits will be much more physical and faster than most US players, who play in the MLS. There are some good players playing in Europe and a handful in the US, however. But they are still not strong enough.

Don't get me started on pussy boy Landon Donavan.
