i'm a label whore. what will impress people more, a custom made suit or a jil sander? if i buy a designer suit it'll probably be jil sander or z zegna. maybe possibly a ralph lauren black label but i think jil sander is a better designer. the jil sander, rl black label and bespoke all cost around the same. the z zegna runs about $500 cheaper.

I wear BOSS suits. i get a lot of compliments on them.

With suits, its not just about designers, its about body types. Some suit makers dont work well will some people. For example, Ben Sherman makes some cool suits, but they are caterer towards people with very thin builds.

Boss, has a very athletic cut for people with broader shoulder and smaller waists.

Just gotta find who fits you well, or go custom tailored.

going with those designers because they're the only one that fit me. boss is too boxy for me. i'm a pretty skinny guy and even when i consistently work out i never really fill out.

Who exactly are you trying to impress? If I showed up to court wearing one of those suits, I think that would create the exact opposite result of what I want. :snicker:

Pleats in a suit are fine.

Pleats in khakis are not.

Pleats or flat depends on how your legs are built. If you're skinny, get flat front, if you have bigger legs get pleats on the pants. I've seen plenty of people wearing flat front suit pants because they're 'fashionable' but they look stupid because they're way too tight.

All I know is, thirty years from now I'll see a picture of myself from now and won't have to wonder wtf I was thinking wearing whatever it was I was wearing. :snicker:

cuffs are okay... brooks brothers makes nice clothes. some of their stuff are definitely made for older people.
not too fond of "modern" work clothes. look like a moron if you show up to work like you're going clubbing w/ a bunch of guineas.

I was shopping around for some new [flat front] dockers last week and they had all the retarded sizes out to choose from. Who the hell wears a 38x34 flat front pant? They shouldnt be made for people > 34 waist.

I think the reverse is true...fat guys should avoid pleated fronts.
