Sooooo

I've been toying with the idea of getting the SD700 IS because ever since I bought the SD400 I have had a hard time in extremem low light shooting. Even though the camera is newer/better then my previous S100...the optics and chip in the S100 were bigger and gave the camera some huge advantages.

Anyway, Out of wonderful surprise I saw they released a SD800 IS...a bigger chip, new Digic III, etc etc etc etc.

So, with my handy 10% off coupon at best buy I went today and bought one:wired:

waiting for the battery to charge now. :excited:

Hmm sample pictures at dpreview aren't that great, but hey it's a small pocketable thing for when you don't want to take the SLR right? btw have you looked at the fuji f30? It's got very good high-iso noise levels, approaching SLR quality.

And what were the ISO of the pics that were posted?

This camera goes to 1600....and im sure for a camera this small those pics will get grainy.

Ive done a couple test pics. I'm pretty damn happy so far. This camera is amazing, and all the features it has is pretty mind blowing.

Cool. I'm thinking about getting compact digicam too for when I don't want to bring the d50 around.
